31.01.12
According to REC’s JobsOutlook monthly report, recruiters are still keen in using non-permanent staff, despite the introduction of AWR in October 2011.
The report, compiled from the results of a survey taken by 600 hirers, shows that 57% plan to continue to use the same number of contractors as present. It also revealed that 27% of employers revealed that they plan on broadening their number of non-permanent members of staff. These numbers conclude that a total of 84% of the employers surveyed don’t plan on cutting their temporary staff in the near future.
The survey also suggests that on a long-term basis, 65% of employers plan on retaining their current amount of non-permanent staff, where as 22% plan to increase the number used.
This month’s report from REC’s JobsOutlook is good news for contractors using Consort’s services. It shows that hirers understand the benefits of a flexible and skilled workforce to enable them to compete effectively in today’s market.
