10.01.14
Recent figures released by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) suggest that 2014 will be a good year for temporary workers.
In December's JobsOutlook report, 47% of employers said they plan on increasing the amount of temporary staff they use in the first three months of 2014. It also indicated that only 8% of employers plan on decreasing their number of temporary staff for the remaining nine months of the year.
Fifteen percent of employers believe there will be skills shortages in the 'Technical' and 'Engineering' sectors, and a further 13% think there will be shortages in the 'Professional', 'Managerial' and 'Education & Training' sectors.
